Board Governance

Tacoma Community House

In my Board Governance (TMGMT 465/466) course, I had the opportunity to be the Board Intern for Tacoma Community House's Board of Directors. During this six month internship, I sat in during monthly board meetings and learned how Tacoma Community House's Board of Directors governed. In class, I learned about operations and logistics of nonprofit board governance. For my final project, I created a simple board manual for future Tacoma Community House board members in order for them to reference their fiduciary responsibilities and remember their duty of care, loyalty, and obedience as a board member.
